A Majestic Experience!

I spent the last few weeks of summer photographing in and around the Banff area. This was a solitary journey for me; I could revel in the beauty of the landscape, but also rejuvenate my spirit and mind. I would awaken at dawn and drive all over the area looking for the perfect picture, meditating in silence on the shores of lakes, streams or on top of majestic peaks. This picture is a series of shots from Vermillion Lakes (right next to Banff), snapped at dawn in mid September 2012.

The Fairmont Banff Springs was my residence at this time and a more amazing hotel I could not have imagined nor picked for my stay. The aura of the entire region was fabulous.
