Ottawa, My Nation's Capital

In April, I fulfilled a long held desire to visit Ottawa. It being Canada's 150 anniversary, I had to go! I picked a less busy time to visit, so I could take my time and see things the way they were meant to be appreciated. I came upon our monument to Canada's Peacekeepers. It is so subtle there on Sussex Drive between the United States Embassy and its' impressive neighbour, the National Gallery. I thought the positioning to be exactly right.

The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is a museum brought to modern life. The events that have happened here, the secrets held. It has definitely earned its' place amongst Canada's most famous buildings -- right in my Nation's Capital.
