Bardstown Cocktail ~ The Perfect Summer Cocktail for a Crowd

• • 16oz Kentucky Bourbon
  • 12oz Aperol
  • 28oz Grapefruit Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 5 Limes, juiced
  • 1T Grapefruit Bitters
  • Ice cubes for shaking
  • Jumbo ice cubes (1 for each glass)

1. 1. Liquid ingredients may be combined and chilled.
   2. If you have an oversized cocktail shaker that holds a gallon add 16 solid ice cubes from a standard ice tray. If working with a normal size shaker it works better dividing the mix into 4 batches and adding 4 ice cubes to each batch, one after the other.
   3. Shake vigorously to achieve a foamy consistency.
   4. Pour batches into a well chilled pitcher.
   5. Prepare frosty rocks glasses with 1 jumbo ice cube (2"x2").
   6. Fill each glass with the Bourbon cocktail mix. Add stir straws if desired.
