Southern Double Cheeseburger + Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

Yield:

1 burger + cocktail

• Southern Double Cheeseburger

  • 4 oz. Dry aged burger patty (two)
  • 2 Slices Pimento cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 5 Dill pickle slices
  • 2 Slices heirloom tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. thousand island dressing
  • 1 Leaf lettuce, cleaned
  • 2 Tbsp. Onion jam
  • 1 Sesame seed bun

• Whiskey Sour

  • 1 1/2 oz. Bulleit bourbon
  • 3/4 oz. Simple syrup
  • 3/4 oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 Orange peel
  • 1 Cherry

1. Southern Double Cheeseburger

   1. Take burger patties and flatten slightly. Season patties with salt and pepper.
   2. Place patties on grill and begin to sear. Once a great sear has happened, flip patties and add mustard.
   3. While patties are grilling, toast sesame seed bun then place on serving dish with lettuce and tomato in placed in the middle.
   4. Add onion jam to one burger patty and 1 slice pimento cheese to the other.
   5. Once patties are completely cooked through, stack the pimento cheese patty on the onion patty. Place the stacked patties on top of the lettuce, tomato and bottom bun.
   6. Add second slice of pimento cheese to burger, then top with thousand island dressing and pickles.
   7. Place top bun on stack and serve.

2. Whiskey Sour

   1. Shake all ingredients together, with an exception of the cherry and orange peel.
   2. Strain ingredients into tin shaker.
   3. Dry shake ingredients until frothy.
   4. Pour over ice and garnish with slice of orange peel and cherry flag.
   5. Enjoy!
