Ingredients
- Yield:
- 1 cocktail

Alsatian Vin Chaud
- 4 oz Pinot Noir
- 1 oz Mulling Spice Syrup*
- Garnish: Dried Orange Slices

Mulling Spice Syrup*
- 2 ½ cups White Sugar
- 4 ½ cups Filtered Water
- 4 Bay Leaves, Dried
- 4 Star Anise Pods
- 8 Whole Cloves
- 4 Green Cardamom Pods
- 2 tbsp Dark Chocolate Chunks
- ½ cup English Breakfast Tea
- 40 Juniper Berries
- 4 Cinnamon Sticks
Preparation

Mulling Spice Syrup*
- Heat filtered water to a boil and remove from heat.
- Steep with tea for three minutes and strain.
- Combine ½ cup of tea water (discard the rest) with the remaining ingredients and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes.

Dried Orange Slices
- Lightly brush fresh orange slices with Mulling Spice Syrup.
- Place over parchment paper on a baking sheet and bake at 150°F for 12 hours.

Alsatian Vin Chaud
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat until over medium heat desired temperature is achieved.
- Serve in a tea cup with spiced and dried orange slices.
