True North Cocktail

• INGREDIENTS - COCKTAIL

  • 45 ml Lot 40 Rye Whisky
  • 15 ml Martini Dry Vermouth
  • 15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 15 ml Spiced Maple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Bittered Sling Western Haskap Bitters

• INGREDIENTS - SPICED MAPLE SYRUP

  • 500 ml Maple Syrup
  • 10 Allspice Berries
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 10 Cloves
  • 2 Vanilla Beans

1. PREPARATION - COCKTAIL

   1. Shake with ice and double strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
   2. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and blackberry on a bamboo skewer.

2. PREPARATION - SPICED MAPLE SYRUP

   1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, cover, and simmer on low heat for one hour.
   2. Strain out solids. All to cool. Bottle and Refrigerate. Will keep for three months.
